South Carolina

South Carolina’s terrain, from the Blue Ridge Mountains in the west to the Atlantic Ocean in the east, is as diverse including its attractions and activities. There are three regions in the state. The upstate is known for its outdoor activities and quaint mountain towns, and is deeply embedded by the growing city of Greenville. The Midlands (Piedmont) region is home to Columbia, the state capital, and Lake Murray, a common fishing and boating location. The coast of South Carolina includes not only beach and golf havens like Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach, but also historic Charleston, with its cobblestone streets, vibrant architecture, and waterfront historic district.
