Climate

In Canada there are four very distinct seasons. Daytime summer temperatures can rise to 35°C and higher while cooling down in the evenings. Summer can be hot and dry in some parts although depending on where you are there could be a beach or lake to take a swim in and cool down. While in winter there can varing temperates depending on where you are in Canada.

Travelling to Canada

At present it is required for those travelling on a Australian or New Zealand Passport to obtain a visa before entering Canada. Please ask your Travel Agent for further information or visit

Communications

Canada has direct dial access to and from the rest of the world. Most Accommodation have IDD available from your room. Internet and wifi is available in most places throughout Canada, apart from the smaller areas. Please check with your mobile carrier about International Roaming before using your phone overseas.

Language

The offical language of Canada is French and English.

Electricity

Canada’s power is 1120 volt so you will need a USA adaptor.

Money

Currency used in Canada is CA Dollars. There are plenty of ATM and currency exchange places in the main cities. All major credit cards are widely excepted through out the whole of Canada.

Shopping

Shopping is really endless in Canada from high end botiques to the most amazing hidden out of the way corner store, you can really find everything you are looking for and more. Most shops don’t open until 10am daily and normally close around 9pm Monday to Friday and on the weekends normally close around 5pm.
