The sunny district of Kona covers nearly two-thirds of the entire western side of Hawaii – from the southern tip of Anaheimomalu (Waikoloa Beach Resort) to Manuka Park (Kau). In this vast area, you can find everything from coffee plantations to historic Hawaiian attractions. In fact, King Kamehameha spent his last years in Kailua-Kona.

Home to some great shops, restaurants and nightlife, you can easily walk through Kona history, including the Hulieu Palace, Mokuykawa Church and Ahuena Hiau.
