Seattle’s relaxed attitude and varied neighbourhoods more than compensate for the city’s consistently cloudy weather. It also has some of the best coffee in the country, a thriving arts scene, plenty of history, culture, and – when the weather permits – some exciting outdoor activities. The city’s favourite outdoor activities include kayaking, hiking, camping, and whale watching because it is surrounded by water (and is located between Puget Sound and Lake Washington).
